AR 400
AR400 is a high strength, wear resistant plate with a hardness of 400HBW and high impact toughness. It has 3 – 4 times the wear life of mild steel but yet it is still possible to be drilled, formed and welded. It is the most popular wear plate on the market and is generally used for earthmoving and loading equipment, cutting edges, skip liners, buckets, chutes, hoppers, conveyors, dredgers, tipper bodies, concrete mixing, mining and recycling plants.

AR500
AR500 is a high strength, wear resistant plate with a hardness of 500HBW and high impact toughness. It has 6 – 8 times the wear life of mild steel and can be welded. Drilling and Forming is possible but with difficulty. This grade is used for the same applications as the AR400 but where the wear levels are greatly increased.

CP60
CP60 is a high chromium carbide weld overlay plate with a hardness of 600HBW which offers excellent resistance to wear and impact. It has 20 – 30 times the wear life of mild steel and can retain its hardness at temperatures up to 600 degrees. It is used where there is extreme wear and its applications include liners, cyclones, hoppers, lobster back bends, fan blades, chutes, loading bucket liners and many more.

AR600 Pipe
AR600 pipe is a tough, abrasion resistant hardened steel pipe. It has an interior hardness of 600HBW, exterior hardness of 250 HBW and has a wear life of 4 – 6 times greater than conventional carbon steel pipe. It is generally used for the handling and transportation of materials such as SRF, coal slurry, fly ash, cement, wood chip, waste, sand and other quarry products.

11%-14% Manganese
11 – 14% Manganese plates are supplied with a typical hardness of 200HBW. During service this will rise to over 500HBW. It has 20 – 30 times the wear life of mild steel and is generally used in situations where there is high impact or gouging abrasion which leads to a work hardening effect. It is possible to be cut, formed and welded but drilling is extremely difficult. It is generally used for shot-blasting cabinets, crushers, anti-drill plates, security doors, magnetic separators and the metal recycling industry.

Bevelled Cutting Edges
Bevelled cutting edges have a low carbon content combined with high levels of Boron, Molybdenum and Nickel which allows for them to be machined and welded while still maintaining their hardness throughout. They can be supplied in different hardnesses with single or double bevels as required.

310 Stainless Steel
310 is an austenitic stainless steel that combines excellent high temperature properties with good ductility and weldability. It is typically used for elevated temperatures as its high chromium and nickel content provide solid corrosion resistance, excellent resistance to oxidation and superior strength in temperatures up to 1150 celsius. Its applications include cement kiln components, furnaces, brick shelf and supports, refractory anchors, burner tips, oil burner and heat exchangers.

321 Stainless Steel
321 is a stabilized austenitic stainless steel similar to type 304 but with a titanium addition of at least five times the carbon content. The titanium addition reduces or prevents carbide precipitation during welding and in service of 400 – 800 Celsius. It provides excellent resistance to oxidation, corrosion and possesses good creep strength. Its applications include annealing covers, firewalls, stack liners, boiler casings, welded pressure vessels, aircraft and oil refinery equipment.

Corten A+B
Corten is a structural steel grade with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance. Once exposed to the weather, it develops a protective rustic layer which minimises the need for painting. Corten A is used in outdoor applications that are exposed to changing weather conditions such as external claddings and sculptures but is not recommended for load bearing applications. Corten B is generally used for the heavy duty load bearing structures such as buildings, bridges etc.
